OPPORTUNITIES

New Beginnings High School is a locally operated 501(c)(3) Charter School operating three campuses in Polk County.  Our mission is to create the best educational environment for students who are seeking a New Beginning.

We have a commitment to give back and improve the quality of life for both our students and the community which we live and work.
For many families the beginning of a new school year can be overwhelming, as they do not have the financial resources to buy items needed for their children to start the school year ready to succeed. New Beginnings High School recognizes the need to not only fill the needs for “today” with items such as groceries, hygiene items, haircuts and school supplies, but most importantly fill the needs for their “tomorrows” by connecting them to resources to help build stronger, more self-sustainable family units. In 2016 New Beginnings High School set out to address those needs through the annual “Summer Palooza” outreach. Each year this outreach has grown with Summer Palooza 2019 filling the needs of over 4000 community members. We canceled the 2020 event for the health and safety of our community, but the economic fallout of the pandemic means that families in Polk County need our collective support more than ever this year. More than 110,000 people in the county are facing food insecurity. Families are struggling, but together we can help fill the gap.
